We recommend to use non NFA brokers, cause the new rules have effected. ECN brokers are good for our EA. We suggest to try XXX or YYY(both non-USA) as well.

Fairly rubbish results from trading today.

I have turned off recovery mode on one of my accounts because the lots doubling is killing it slowly

 

mainly the EURCHF trade spiked again and MD closed it at a loss in recovery mode on Alpari, but it still hanging on Gomarkets, so I am in drawdown for the month so far X-( . On the upside, the GBPUSD made a solid trade which mitigated the EURCHF loss. A lot of other pairs only pipped break even with no real profit gain.

 

I also have an open EURUSD trade that looks like it will profit fully too

 

Well the month has only started, so if I'm at least 5% in profit after this month I'll still be happy.

I didn't want to mention any name while I was communicating with PFGBest,thats why I used X and Y.BTW X&Y are FXCM (UK) and FOREX META which were recommended by Megadroid support team.

Quite a big difference. I got one requote on USD/JPY on live account and one less open position by ea (could be because 1 pip higher spread).

 

Question for all the programers here. Is it posibble to code ea to try to open position again after getting requote? This ea is hunting for 10 pips so it should be okey even if position is opened few seconds later.

Sorry my mistake. I'm usually manually trading only eur/usd where 1pip = 1€ (on 0.1 standard lot size). Thanks for warning it won't happen again :hammer:

There's nothing wrong with mentioning other brokers when communicating with a particular broker, it just reminds them that there is competition which is a good thing for the trader.

 

I think the MegaDroid team mentions those brokers because they may be earning commission from them.

Thats right, GMT offset is +1. I asked the TadawulFx support when I was trading with them. but auto gmt incorrectly recognizes +2. be careful Tadawulfx traders! I didn't experienced such a good result with tadawulfx. good for unikin. :-bd

I use +1 manually set GMToffset (in summer time it should be set to +2 acording to creators of ea) that's why MD opens first trades at 22:00. I think low liquidity in summer time results in higher volatility at the end of NY session and some nasty spikes (bigger PA movemnts) can occurr. So I'm hoping to avoid them with 1 hour delay in trades.

Spread of GBPUSD is 4 pips. You've probably meant GBPCHF (=8pips)? I use max spread 0 as it seams that old Don's version works also without changing this parameter (could be a bug).

Are you still using Don's MegaDroidPro_v1_00ee2xFix version (with Dll) ?

 

I am using Don's 1.01ee version. So it seems the max spread parameter is working in this version (1.01ee) and will block trades unless changed to -1

What is NOT working in the 1.01ee version is the Trade Start and End parameters. The trades did not open in the settings I had made:

S1 Start 21

S1 End 23

S2 Start 1

S2 End 3

 

The only trades that opened were between 1 and 3. It did not open between 21 and 23, which is my prefered times anyway. So, I'm going back to the default setting and forgetting the extended ADT style hours. All my trades closed for B/E at this time.

Pehaps Don, if you are reading this, you could fix the problem. It is handy to have it.

MegaDroid / MegaDroid Pro contains two different strategies. If you set Agressive = true means you use both strategies.

S1 refers to the normal trade and S2 refers to the agressive trade.

 

If you have Agressive set to false, you can ignore all the S2 parameters as they will not be active.

I havnt quit finished the code for IM-Scalper and its siblings.. Too Many gigs runnig sound for back to school things.. But thats about over... I think Im-Scalper is going to be a good one as soon as the thing gets fixed a little more.. Im also trying to get finished with the renko bar chart stuff..

 

The links seem to be broken, but nothing succeeds like success. Since your Internet connection is better than mine, and you are in profit, I cannot argue with that. I am just personally bothered by my DSL provider, and there are no other choices unless I get a satellite connection.

 

Anyway, I needed my VPS for other reasons also, like being able to turn my computer off for maintenance, or being able to handle 5 day power failures, or viewing trades while on vacation, etc. But, using your laptop as a VPS is great also, especially if you buy one of those cooling devices that plug into the USB port. I have 3 of them, and they work great. Before getting the coolers, my laptop burned 3 modem boards. Many laptops just don't stay cool as well as a desktop. :)>-
