P7a7u7L Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Hello all, :-bd I have a crazy but yet brilliant idea :geek: As we all know... FAPTurbo is no-doubt one of the best scalping ea's available. But... faturbo is not foolproof because of large drawdown now and then. Martingale is absolutely risky but it works!! eventually it blows up your account but takes time. So here is my plan: I have no development ability so we need someone willing to create this MONSTER EA. 1st. the ea should trade normally as if it were trading the plain fapturbo strategy 2nd. only if trade (scalping) goes bad... lets say -25pips then martingale kicks in. (pip step option) 3rd. the martingale should have a __% of equity stoploss option. 4th. multiplier size option... 5th. when trade comes back then break even or take maybe 6 pips profit?.... This is just a rough idea of the EA... if we can just get the basic ea running then we can fix bugs and optimize where necessary... Don't have time to repgram fapt right now but I have programmed similar scalping programmes with pyramidding, its not very hard, but you really have to watch you risk! Even if you have a system which hits no SL in backtesting sure as eggs in the future it will & if you ramp up the risk with pyramidding look out! I have used this concept successfully but at low risk - ie instead of doubling up, keep the same risk & use smaller lot sizes. eg if when using 1 posn at 10 % risk, when pyramidding say 2 at 5 % (still 10 % risk total). Its not a bad way to improve your profit if the first entry is too early. What I note however is when doing this, your total return on an equal risk basis for pyramidding is likely to be less than if using the single position at higher risk as not every signal gets pyramidded (is that a word??) so the benfits for scalping can be questionable.
