I find my target is influenced by the system I am currently trialing ecently 30 pips

I usually try and a make a few pips scalping, but if I can catch the daily swings that's the way to go.

Actually, it is unrealistic to set a target earning per day in long term.

As for me 30 pips a days is good enough for short term trading.

With 3 ea's I do about 0-10 trades a day, which equals 0-40 pips ... average is 20-30, but sustained.

 

This is quite ok for living.

i myself right now try to design a trading system that only spend max 30 minutes a day and try to get minimum 5 pips every single day. i prefer start small and grow bigger as time passed by. ;)

Yes, I know him. He is a tremendous but very cool trader. I often ask him to mentor me, but until now he refuses, pretexting I'm not ready :(( .

For traders like me 20 pips a day is fine. If I play standard lot that is $200/day.

wow look at that somebody get more than 1000 pip single day. i think majority of person at least most newbies here uses scalping EA so 10-50 pip range is got majority of vote.
