Hey Everyone, pls can anyone tell and help me with the best trigger indicators to use on meta trader 4? i have loads of lagging indicators who have made me lost about $4,000 in about 8months of trading. i really need assistance.

You are lucky you only lossed 8K, my wife lossed even way more than that. There are no such thing as the best triggers, it's up to you how you use them effectively. You can give several individuals the same set of rules and indicators, and the results will be all different, there will be winners and losers. Go back to praticing with a demo account until you are winning at least several weeks without a loss. I know that demo does not prove anything, but at least you get some familiarity with whatever indicators you choose. The way I learned to trade was to read, read, read to see how others trade or the techniques they use, there are good and bad strategies out there, you must choose which is right for you. If you want to learn, download some of the videos [eg., Peter Bain] or read those ebooks.... I personally do not trade with indicators nor use anything like Elliott Waves or any of that stuff, I cannot trade with them, they make me hesitate too much to make decision since they may conflict with each other.

Moving averages don't lag.

use 2 Smoothed MA applied to HL/2 26 and 13 on H1 chart and something smaller on 5/15min chart.

that's all you need.

well may be you can add Bands to be more confident.

Well, strategy is extremely simple. EUR/USD 5min chart.

I use MAs (21 and 13) to detect trend. ADX (14) to enter, MA cross is strong entry point.

Just follow simple rules:

1. Not more than 4-5 indicators on chart.(if you need more - you have a problem!!!)

2. Trade only 1 pair, so you know what is going on.

3. Follow self made rules. (i got 10)
