We need someone with C++ DLL decompilation experience to look inside the DLL and do the authentication patch. I'll try to look for the backtests on H1 and M15 and post them. In the meantime I would recommend to run both on your own since backtests are very much dependent on broker data and your conclusion may be different then mine. Hi, I have done some extensive analysis of the MGDR 1.10 code mql4 code and the DLL and I want to share the "cooked" version with the community in hopes we can all test and improve it together. I totally believe that it is has a good concept, however I was dissappointed to find out what settings the MegaDroid team has chosen to make this look like a great EA. If I were a paying customer I would ask for a refund for the simple fact that they misrepresent the MegaDroid concept in their advertisements. What do I mean by this? They say that the EA trades can handle any market conditions and it trades at random during the 24 hrs. Both of these statements are not true so shame for lying and deceiving your clients MegaDroid Team. The facts are that - it CANNOT handle any market conditions well and it only trades with System1 from 21-23 (2 hrs) and System2 from 22-23 (1 hr). If you set different trading times in the attached 1.10b version (which now bypasses the DLL 100%), you will notice that the performance is not as good. If you want to trade with the same times as the DLL is controlling, simply set "UseDLLTradeTimes" option to true. If you set to false try changing the S1 and S2 times to whatever GMT you want to test and run a backtest. You will see what I mean. Also I recommend to set the "AutoGmtOffset" option to false since it gives the wrong GMTOffset for most brokers. Set the "GMTOffset" manually to your broker which assures 100% you have it correct. As far as the Start and End times, these are separately for System1 and System2 as they were originally coded. If you want to know 100% the times that the DLL sends back to the EA simply set "UseDLLTradeTimes" option to true and check your Journal/Expert Tab to see the message as such: 2009.04.26 19:53:06 2009.01.02 06:01 MegaDroid EURUSD,M15: ==> S2SH1: 22 S2EH1: 23 S2SH2: 22 S2EH2: 23 2009.04.26 19:53:06 2009.01.02 06:01 MegaDroid EURUSD,M15: ==> S1SH1: 21 S1EH1: 23 S1SH2: 21 S1EH2: 23 This means that S1 is starting at 21 and ends at 23 and S2 starts at 22 and ends at 23. Hope you enjoy this version and please run backtests on your own and share your conclusions with us so we may improve the EA. Please don't bombard me with basic questions since I have limited time to answer, but I don't mind answering questions related to coding and functionality of the EA. It would be most helpful for the good coders here to take a look at the code and make some good comments. Do you have a recommended Broker in US for MegaDroid ? That works well I use Alpari UK and they seem to keep the EURUSD to 3 pips on the EURUSD. I tried it with FXCM MT4 and it works well there but the spread can be higher up to 4-5 sometimes. Overall I think Alpari UK is the best. What about ALPARI US --- I tried to open an account with Alpari UK but they reffered me to Alpari US since i live in USA. Is there a big Difference between the Quotes or Spreads of ALPARI US and UK . I am Planning to Close the FXCM MT4 Account but i want to make sure that i am moving to Alpari US will be OK. Anyone with any idea about Alpari US ? The Metatrader 4 executable is named terminal.exe Anytime you rename any of those. it will not work. Make sure that you have those 2 files names correctly and then try again. If you like the EA and plan to trade it on real money - then buy it. These guys release very frequent updates and it is not worth blowing your account for $97. Might as well use the original product. However having said this, I totally disagree with MegaDroid's misleading advertising approach where they say that this EA works in any market conditions and trades at random times. This is simply not true. Maybe if they stuck to their sales pitch and coded it accordingly, they would get a lot more traders buying the original version. Just my 2 cents and since the MegaDroid team pays close attention to this thread - maybe they can revise their philosophy of delivering a product in step with their ad campain. It took a successful trade as reported here for the last 24 hrs. Having the capability to change it start/end times is very useful I think. I find that trading it for more extended hours performs better most of the time and give more trades therefore more profit. Of course, it can lose more too!
