MA MTF Crossover

Default Settings:

 

8 = Yellow

12 = MediumOrchid

24 = SteelBlue

72 = Khaki

 

Change the MA Per taste. However, my question to you is, which crossover setting would be the best?

I Thing IMHO: the best Cross Moving Avarage is Weighted Moving Avarage (WMA) Periode 6 By Closed & Weigthed Moving Avarage (WMA) Periode 12 By Closed.

 

Timeframe min. 60 Minutes, bigger timeframes is more better.

 

You can add filter MT_MACD in Colour (Default settings: 12,26,9) as your filter,

 

or

 

Simple Moving Avarage Periode 12 By Closed, shift 6 as a Filter

 

Offcourse we cannot left trendline to for help us to define the current trend.

I've read from another forum (can't remember which), that sma3 and sma5 cross on H4 with D1 confirmation is the best, or so it said.

Filter?

 

MA cross is best at trending market. It will fail on:

- ranging market

- high volatility market, the smaller the MA period, the more likely it will become the victim of volatility.

 

So, your filter should help the MA cross on those 2 conditions.

 

I could give you thousands of filter, but i think it's better for you to find your own filter.

How about SEFC MA v.1 compares SMA 3 & SMA 5 ?

Did you know SEFC MA is is suitabel for which timeframes ?

 

MA cross is best at trending market. It will fail on:

- ranging market

We know that.

 

Thas why the Trend Trader winning percentage is only have change 40% to 56%, but if those Trend Trader caughts up the move, all the loss will be eliminated (the worst case just only breakevent).

 

So, your filter should help the MA cross on those 2 conditions.
