Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather

Looking at the statement at FPA and it only has 4 trades, but they are all for very large number of pips.

Now maybe they know what they are doing or maybe they just got lucky, it is only 4 trades after all.

Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather

It seems that this EA doesn't work with all brokers

I have the ea from this forum (cadoo)

I opened demos with fxpro, fxopen, fxdd, fxcompany ...

No trades yet trade unlike fxpeacearmy with alpari :-/

have you the same problem ?

Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather

hi,

anyone tried this EA on back or forward test?

the website looks like the usual scam,no proof at all.

and 97% winning trades doesn't mean anything, the 3% could be more than 97 winners together,

anybody tested this EA?

Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather

well this one is at least a bit sensible.

that dip at the end is concerning though. the results before 2006 are bad. from 2006 it works quite well.

when was it released? that dip at the end worries me that it might be signaling the end of the curve fit.

Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather

I have seen the term "curve fit" in various posts. Is curve fitting the use of optimization to find the most profittable setting for parameters? I.E. could an EA could be written initially with external parameters. They could be optimized, then hard coded. Backtesting would then show great results but those results may only be exceptional for the period of the backtest.

Is this what curve fitting would be?

I guess I'll have to answer this question myself...

Yes Iamjon. That would be what curve fitting is.

Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather

Dear All,

This it my forward test.

http://testwin.mt4live.com/

Setting is the same with testing on forexpeacearmy.com .

On forexpeacearmy.com show us the bot opened 4 positions and all of positions was won.

(The bot open 2 positions for this month on forexpeacearmy.com 's testing.)

But my forward test do not open any position.

I will keep on my forward test for 3 months.I think.

If you see another position on another pair such as EURUSD.It come form another bot.

(Forex Godfather trade only on GBPUSD.)

Thanks.

Sincerely, :)

plypun.
