Actually the OFA NinjaTrader version uses the same P&F reversal as timeframe, which makes it the same just as many other footprint indicators for ninjatrader, the stand-lone version of OFA uses "clusters" as "timeframe", this is now gone in the ninjatrader version of OFA.

The price tag of $4500 is simply outrageous! For that reason alone I hope someone will crack it soon and spread it like wild fire on Internet! The reasonable price for a footprint indicator should be less than $500, and with so many competitors out there, it should be less than $200!

Denny, you can understand buy zone and sell zone watching the footprint or volume ladder of ninjatrader, without the OFA software. Then you can refine you entry when price come in such zone watching the jigsaw.

    Hi Denny,
IMHO, OFA is based on reading the aggressive buyers and sellers at the asks and bids in the form of Volume Ladder (Footprint or whatever you wanna call it), Whereas, Jigsaw is more about reading the Dom and timensales. Of course, there are something similar in term of the concepts in both. I think it's best to use both together though. OFA is used for market structure and volume ladder. Jigsaw should be used for reading the peding bids/asks (fake orders), big orders ect

Side Note: Could be interesting if any coders could add the option of using uptick/downtick instead of ask/bid. Tools like this and Supperia Tape Plotter make me want to have a vps!!! Anyway if there was such an option that could be interesting.

    hi guys!

Long time no see ... so I wanted to share some of my stuff with you...

    1. Kwikppop with 3D Box with Text-To-Speech tweaks (all basic packages and premium, Sonar not included)
    2. Bet-ter Indicators X with Text-To-Speech tweaks and a modified Sinewave MTF version
    3. Market re-play NT addon, with a status texbox (tells you what it is doing)

    Kwikpop.
It has the 3D box window modified, it shows the name of each indicator and also has a checkbox so you can enable speech alerts. This will work if you also enable the speech setting on the indicator (check the indicator property window). This will allow you to have the setting enabled on the indicator, and switch it off on the 3D box window by default, so history bars won't speak up their changes...

It has a breakout speech and a regular momentum speech settings, you can choose either, depending how you trade.

I use the KP3DBox and the KPTrend indicators for ES, CL and YM... it also includes the generic 3DBox, so you can use it for any instrument...

    Bet-ter Indicators X.
It contains the regular BI you already know: the PRO-AM, sine-wave and momen-tum, but the X gives some new tweaks...

The Pro-AM has some changes on candle coloring and speech alerts, instead of bar coloring alerts for amateurs or pros, uses text above or below the candle. The coloring I added is mixing the Sinewave graph with colors on the bars, identifying support and resistance by color, instead of checking the Sinewave graph...

The Momentum only has some speech alert changes.

The Sinewave also has only some speech alert changes. But I did create a Multi Time Frame Sinewave, instead of having 3 charts for checking support and resistance, use only 1 chart and have all 3 timeframes plotted on the same chart. I suggest using the setting for the same type of period: all 3 time frames for ticks or minutes. I suggest ticks... Also for example, a fast time frame would be 500 tick, a normal timeframe 1500 tick, a slow timeframe 4500 tick.. this for the ES...

All these indicators will have a button on the chart's toolbar to enable or disable speech alerts. The same goes for their own indicator properties window, you need to enable speech alerts from there too.

    Market Re-play add on.
The same add-on you saw on other thread, with the difference that it shows you in a textbox what the add-on is actually doing...

You know the drill ... if you have them in trial in NT, remove them from your system ... then put the educated ones on bin/custom folder... remember to copy the text to speech dll too...

I couldn't agree more with the first post, I wouldn't go so far as deleting all the literature i've collected though. For all I've read I believe 95% of it was of no use to the way I trade, however, I believe that reading it was not a waste and integral to where I am today. Granted there is a lot of misinformation and perhaps information overload, but I think one needs this to come to the gross realisation that everything they had was in front of them all along, without a fancy indicator. [The stronger this realisation, the greater the impact on your trading]. Once you reach this point, all that stands between you and success is your own psychology and trying to balance the chances of sucess with the demands of risk.

dennyyusuf reacted to tmalone in Best Grounding for a Geometry Based Methodology?
While there are many price/time trading methods that do require a properly scaled chart in order to yield accurate results, there are many that do not. Each and every chart, irregardless of its scaling, has its own inherent geometry no matter how skewed the price axis may be from the time axis. Certain price/time projections made on such charts will still yield accurate results because the price/time distortions are uniformly distrubuted throughout the chart. So any angles or lines drawn upon such a chart will also conform to the distortions and work despite the imperfect price/time scaling.

The works of Larry Pesavento and Scott Carney are probably the simplest places to start in terms of finding geometrical methods of trading that do not require specific chart scaling while still yielding accurate and workable entry and exit targets. From there one can then move on to the works of guys like Michael Jenkins or Alexander Goulden who teach some more advanced geometrical tools that still do not require specific chart scaling. But if practical and workable exit targets are your main concern, I'd start with Pesavento and Carney. Good Luck!
