Spot Forex is what you are referring to as the forex mkt.

Take this fwiw from someone who has been in the game for over twenty year.
Invest in screen time watching live data.
Your goal is to identify price behaviour (market participants psychology) that repeats constantly.
The best place for this is spot forex, where it can be seen on a daily basis.
Having identified these areas, you can then develop your own system to trade them.
This can be built around whatever indicator etc that resonates with the way you see the charts.
There is no right or wrong method - just what works for you, and what doesn't.
Just be sure to have a plan, written is best (and don't be afraid to modify it as you progress) that articulates exactly what your entry criteria will be and your trade management, which is paramount.
Lastly, don't forget to enjoy the journey. ATB

Absolutely, you can make fast money trading Forex.
The only problem, that most people don't want to acknowledge, is that it takes a long time to learn to trade consistenly well.
I know what I'm talking about. I started full time trading 21 yrs ago (1995) on Indice futures, then switched to forex nearly 10 yrs ago.
The holy Grail is out there - it's whatever works for YOU, that gives you an edge. Couple that with discipline and money mgt and you'll be on your way.

Exactly.
I usually select the current top ten x's using the range/spread ratio criteria, plus WTI and Gold. Sticking to just the majors can cause you to miss a lot of good opportunities.
-
It varies. I pick the pairs which currently have the best range/spread ratios. The higher the better.
Again this varies over time eg for some months the best ratios available were circa 18:1. The situation is much better now.

I just downloaded it without incident.
Thanks

Thanks for that, salmanyom.
I regularly trade Crude., and will be a keen observer of what transpires.

Still no Range Bar charts though.... ;-/

In my opinion, the pairs which have the highest Average Daily Range to the Spread ratio.
Simply divide the recent average daily range by the spread... select those pairs with the highest result.

Looking at video 2 here; http://windwinner-bern@[email protected]/Presentation_.htm it appears, at least in part, to be based on divergence.

Thanks nifty, much appreciated.

Antonsan, I emailed you a couple of questions, including one as to whether your advanced version can handle scale-ins semi-automatically... still waiting for a reply.

I've just downloaded their demo.
I have MyFX free from one of my brokers, but I don't use it.
FXSynergy looks far more useful to me, in that it also does scale ins, as well as scale outs.

Hi,
Firstly, thanks for this.
I've run it on IQFeed. I can load both Daily and live charts, which I've been able to Save and Reload saved files.
I can watch a live 1 min chart build, but the program seems quite fragile. I've had it crash a few times. At others it has hung when I tried accessing menu items eg Chart, Format etc. When that happens CPU cycles just keep climbing until I shut it down via Task Manager.
