Just released at $329.99
Does anyone have it?
Is it any good?
It is not back-compatible with previous versions; and these were tricky to optimize for good performance anyway.
Maybe this is better...

Here are the results for 01-08Aug2011
http://www.4shared.com/file/pQQmVPir/DetailedStatement_USDEMA_baske.html?
A complete disaster. I decided to limit the maximum allowed open trades to 25 (rather than 100), so there was less breathing room to build up a large DD.
This didn't help, as it went into immediate DD and never pulled back. It finally hit the 25 max and closed everything with a loss.
Sorry everyone, but I'm too busy to do more with this.

Today the FXCM demo account suddenly became invalid!!!
Fortunately, all the results are in the above post.
Edit: Started a fresh demo account - exactly the same conditions as before. $5000.00 100:1 0.1 lots

Here is complete result from 17May - 29July:
http://www.4shared.com/file/oxPsfE5w/DetailedStatement_USDEMA_baske.html
As you can see, there were some closures today, taking the "Profit" to over $5,000.00 and the "Balance" to over $10,000.00 However, the DD is still a disaster zone; the Equity is almost back to the original $5,000.00 and the Margin Level is in the pink zone at 118%. Currently there are 53 open positions. I'm looking forward to see if it will close all trades (maybe next week?) and start again.

Here is complete result from 17May - 22July:
http://www.4shared.com/file/ROQIXO-b/DetailedStatement_USDEMA_baske.html
The profits have not changed since then, but the DD is now -$2950 with 57 positions open. Will post again when there is a change in profits, but it seems to continue to open positions regularly, then close a whole bunch in a short period of time, as you can see from the last sharp rise in the graph.

From a recent review:
Forex Genetic is nothing more than a poorly designed rehash of an older badly rated EA named Forex STF. Everything from the introductory video to the back story is exactly the same. Only the name of the enigmatic math teacher has been changed from Jim Stanford to Ian Harris.

Today had a low of 8 open trades (now 17).
DD = -$175
Balance = $7070.70 (Total Profit so far = $2070.70) :) :) :)
Wish it was real!

Interesting comments.
I'm very sorry about the delay in my analysis, but I'm quite busy these days. I promise it will be done soon. The only advantage with the delay is that I collect more data.
Here is my complete data to date:
http://www.4shared.com/file/nl5SFBlU/DetailedStatement_USDEMA_baske.html
It currently has 20 trades open over the weekend. It has always had a drawdown, but last week at one point was under -$100
Note: I let it run from Sunday evening to Friday evening non-stop, irrespective of calendar events, so as to get worst case scenario

Hello, great post but do you also have an MP3 and an AVi file of every movie? I can only play the audio, there is no image.
Does anybody knows what to do with this problem?
You may have to update your codec, or use a different media player. I would suggest the free player: VLC Media Player
I haven't downloaded the above files, so I can't say for sure.

I now have 42 trades open and a possible answer for the reason for odd, then even numbers. But I need to do a little bit more research first.
If I find something constructive, I'll put a pdf together and post it here.

Hi kappaforex,
I think harmonic patterns are a very good way of trading. I know there is a very large thread on it at factory girls :) and that there is some good progress in EA development, but I haven't kept up to date on it.

Hi Manganate
When you say the trades are closing in groups of 2, is that manually or have you programmed the ea to do this for you, it would be a great feature as it would trade continuously in 2 x pairs then as it closes them it normally opens a new 2x pair after closing a previous profitable 2 x pair out!!!
Hi ST_Fund,
No, it is not manually, it is the EA that is doing it automatically. It may also close them in groups of 4, but I wont know that until it happens.
As of now, there are 39 open positions and the margin level is at 120% !!! I believe this is because of the weakness of the CHF against the USD. There are many USDCHF positions open. If there is a strengthening in CHF, there should be big gains. That is why I am persevering with this specific case to the end. If it works out, it will have gone through "severe stress testing" (for want of a better term, taken from you know where :) ).
I will post another complete detailed report at the end of the week.

Hi anzeigenmichel & kappaforex,
Have you ever considered that some of us enjoy testing these EAs to see why they do not work.
I like doing research on basket systems; you might like eating oranges. It's not really useful to make negative comments unless they are constructive and lead somewhere.
It may turn out to be no good, but unless ppl see that, they might end up losing money.
I have commented, elsewhere in this forum, about the specific problems of basket trading, but it doesn't stop me from doing the research.
BTW: I only trade live accounts manually.
Hi, Everyone else,
Here is my detailed statement for this EA since I started testing it:
http://www.4shared.com/file/HacC_8Hg/DetailedStatement_USDEMA_baske.html
The first 59 trades were for 1 lot each (the pre-set value), some of which I closed out manually to prevent being margined out.
The next 125 trades were all at the new 0.1 lot value.
The odd number (including odd number of open trades) may be due to me having closed these trades manually; but I am sure the EA started afresh when I changed the lot size. However, the trades are closing in groups of 2.

As far as I know, indorun is a Martingale system and will blow your account. So I wouldn't use it at all.
Use the search box above to find several threads on goldtradepro.

Au and Ag have their own personalities, different from most currency pairs.
You could adapt an EA specifically designed for the AUDUSD pair, which has a high correlation with gold.
I know that someone was selling an EA, but I think it was based on EMAs and didn't work. It may even be in this forum.

Hi:
I thought it always open in pairs (correlation pairs). If so, you state you have 29 open positions. Did you close it manually? If not, can you tell how EA supposed to close?
Also, what is your Maxopen settings?
Sorry about too many questions. Just trying to understand the logic.
So did I. I will check through them.
No manual closures.
Settings are standard:
Magik = 2
Period = 100
Sleep_ (slippage) = 3
Max_Pair = 7
Max_Trade = 100
Take_Profitt = 0.01
TM = 1440
Visual_Pairs = 0
Delta =300

My latest results:
$5,000.00 start balance
0.1 lots
100:1
29 open positions
DD -$978
Margin 2620
Margin Level 167%
New current balance $5326.50, up from $5051.25 two days ago.
So, at Friday close, I have two extra positions open and have increased my balance.
Will see what happens next week.
-
My latest results:
$5,000.00
0.1 lots
100:1
27 open positions
DD -$640
Margin 2920
Margin Level 151%
Looks like USDCHF is still the culprit here.

Thanks, manganate! I have been trading Grid method and Martingale very successfully for many years, so I am used to seeing DD. Also, having the MaxOpen = 8, my DD on this EA hasn't been too bad. Now, CFTC ruling, US brokers offers only 50:1 leverage, I no longer able to trade grid/martingale. I know that many of the traders shy away from Martingale, but ... well, that's another subject..
In any case, I am trying to adapt strategy that I can work around with new ruling (no same pair hedging, FIFO, lower leverage, etc.. name a few) and this EA may work for me. Your answers help me clarify some stuff and I appreciate it! Cheers!
Of course you know that in statistics & probability, Martingale will ultimately fail. It's a bit like the lotto, but in reverse; one day your number will come up!
The strategy I use to get around those rulings is to live outside the USA. :)

The old forex hacked version has been running on forexverified for 13.9 month; monthly gain = 3.8%; Max DD = 22.7%; Net gain = 69.5%.
I don't know how trustworthy these results are, but it appears to be an explosive Martingale. If you don't get the settings right, you're toast!
