How about an EA that trades very often, with quite large lots, aiming only to BE and cover the spread. The use of this would be on an account that gives trade rebates, so that the profit comes from the broker rather than market moves.

Anyone got this EA, which is for opening hegde trades to protect you when the market moves against your current positions.

There is a demo version, and a link to download a live trading account on FXDD, but I can't login to that.

Does anyone have an explanation of the parameters in v 1.9 ?

A few are obvious, some might be guessed, others look like filter settings (best left alone?)

Yes the DD as it stands is horrific, but I wonder if with a few tweaks it could be made to close trades at a small profit, and so reduce the exposure. It seems to trade a lot, and maybe cutting the losing trades (before they go way into DD) would still make it profitable?

 

Anyway - still need to find a copy to try out my theories....

I have the source code of an indicator that sends an email when it identifies a trade.

I want to use it to automatically genertate trades by adding SendOrder at the point where it sends the email. I know how to do that.

 

What I need is guidance on the basic overall steps for turning an indicator into an EA.

It's a program that gives trading signals, rather than an EA. It claims to run on mac & PC, so I guess it's some kind of java app.

 

And it has the most annoying set of teaser pop-ups that I've ever seen!

It used to be a signals system, sent by SMS.

Now the trader uses an account copier to send trades direct to your platform.

 

Is is marketed as an EA, which can be confusing.

What you actually run is the trade copier EA, which monitors the trader's account, waits for a trade, and then places the same trade on your own broker account.

 

It is only just released as a live system, so no track record yet, but the trader is well established and claims a good record for the underlying trading system
