Re: now 10K USD account at Dukascopy
Hi dznmrd,
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it's a though job to find a REALLY good broker and I believe it is impossible to find one that has no drawbacks at all, therefore the best we can do is find one that best fit our particular case and needs. For instance, I need MT4 + ECN + hedging + non-FIFO capability, therefore my consideration for FXopen. But I'm very much aware of their reputation. When I included them in my short list, it was only for their MT4 ECN/bridge version connected to Dukascopy (not their micro/regular MT4 accounts which are obviously going through a dealing desk). Even so, I would probably open an account with Dukascopy and simply use FXopen MT4 ECN/bridge demo feed to make my trades and copy them directly to Dukascopy.
BTW, about FXDD; I've been a client of them for the last 3 years and for me they are also a bucketshop. (I'm talking about their regular MT4 platform, can't say for their other platforms) They have cheated me MANY times of profits by freezing & disconnecting their platform, widening their spreads (which are supposed to be fixed) and many other dirty tricks (always when I was in profit btw). They also purposely increase their EURGBP spread in the Asian session to 5~8 pips to stop the FAPTurbo traders (before FAPturbo, their EURGBP spread was only 3pips!). I could go on and on about them... I know they also offer ECN/CurreneX version but because of my experience with them, I’m not interested X-(
FXCM, Alpari, FXPro, I’ve heard good and bad things about them and will keep researching them. MBtrading has a very good reputation except for their relatively high commission and the fact that they must now follow new NFA anti-hedge/fifo rules, therefore they’re out.
CMS, I don’t know about them and I will start researching them. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m also tempted by a CurreneX broker (except FXDD :berbusa: )
