At the end of the day, change or not, if you purchase your stuff from someone else, a third party person or vendor, you are gonna have to deal with this type of s*** and that is, your stuff might just stop working out of nowhere. On that note, something you might not be aware, just in case, if you are using Parallels on your MAC, whenever you update Parallels, this might also change your machine ID. Now, just to be clear without any confusion here, not all updates from Parallels would render you a new machine ID. And I said that, out of my own personal experience. Now, let's get back to trading or the never ending quest for a holy grail🤗

Please read, I said if there is a major Hardware or firmware change that is part of the software upgrade you could have a change of machine ID. ,You said minor I believe its a major change.

Try to focus here. The topic is what triggers a machine ID change for NT. The ID can change even if you do NOTHING except normal Windows updates. That's the point. You kept insisting that it couldn't. I proved from NT support that you were wrong.

As I said don't try to do a Bios setup unless you check you got your Bitlocker code. It is not for you, it is for people who are will tried the danger of making sure that they have their Bitlocker code

Test Bradley F. Cowan's method yourself by hand and see if it works or not. Although he said his method is Bradley F. Cowan + gann, not sure about this part.

I haven't a clue what you're talking about. I'm not telling anyone to do anything. I'm pointing out that a Windows update can change your hardware ID in the way that NT creates it.

Folks don't even do what Miss @Gretta want you to do , an Firmware's update you will be F..k , especially to people who have not save their Bitlocker code or you will not recover your files you would be sorry. I have been there and I was sorry to myself, there is noway to recover it.
