Keep sharing our work for this community only

    Dear admins,

I have a suggestion. I post a lot of educated EAs and indicators, and since that section is open for visitors, we have a lot of leechers. I have now changed my download method to members only: they need to give me a kudos and I PM them the password to unpack the archive.

It works but it is rather complicated.

Perhaps a good idea to only let members with postcound >5 give access to view the EA and Indicator section?

That way, we only share among ourselves within this great community.

Cheers and green pips to all,

    San.

Another option: Only registered members can view the EA and Indicator sections.

Regarding postcount: seems simple enough to me.
I read some of the comments on the link you gave me.
Notice how most "complainers" have not posted alot since.

I.e. the system is working...keeping leechers out.

People who want to contribute will find a way to get to 5 posts.
I am living example of this.

Anybody who really wants to be on this forum will be.

The rest are just script kiddies and such.

I agree with Hacker on this one.

There are a lot of loyal members putting hard work in to develop/educate/test EAs and indicators....I feel this area should be restricted to at least registered members only. We do this for this community...not for leechers.

I agree with the idea of keeping the relevant information within the circle of active members of this forum. The 5 post criteria could be a minimum requirement that could even be higher later.

Google Analytics would probably still have access, so that anyone (even non-members) can do a search then click on cached.

Re: Keep sharing our work for this community only

My very first post is an educated EA which I bought myself. I mean to carry on as I started

There are so many rubbish EAs out there, I'd say 95% at least. Most of us wouldn't have a chance to find a suitable one unless they had very deep pockets. If I "try out" an EA and I find it's built on a sound principle and either works out of the tin or I think it has possibilities for enhancement I'd buy the product myself.

I agree with most of what is said here though, there is great potential for abuse. Maybe things could be improved somehow but I wouldn't want to tread on any toes seeing I've just started!

I've noticed that there's a particular web site which is hawking EAs, a lot of which I expect come from here. That wouldn't necessarilly be a bad thing but this site is obviously in it to make money out of their members and I don't think that is on. We buy the EAs, educate them etc and they make money from it,

Re: Keep sharing our work for this community only

It is almost (or 100%) impossible to prevent leeching.

    Some ideas:
    1. Restricted areas to shared file-links
how ? by postcount ? maybe simple but does not keep those out who are here to get files for free and then sell them.

    2. Central upload of shared files.
The file is "marked" exclusive for this forum by inserting a number or string which only very good programmers
    can find.

    Does this help ?
Obviously not if a good programmer is at work.
It would work for the rest though because only a few can program EAs here.

But how can we find out who distributed the free EA ?
We cannot. We only know it came from here because the identification-line is coded into it.

    3. Identification of downloaders.
    By username ?
Does not help because everybody can use several usernames, e-mails, coming via Proxy or VPN etc.

    4. Licensing the files.
Someone has to pay for the encryption-and-licensing-software.
Does not work because of property-rights and such legal matters.

    More ideas ?

Yes, but they cost money. It is very effective though.
    5. Only paid members have access to the file-sharing section.
Some know how another forum is doing this: pay xx Euro to paypal , then you get access for lifetime.
    Inside you find cr a c k e d EAs and stuff.
You can request EAs or stuff and sometimes your request is fulfilled.
You can send your EA to share and they will educate it and post it.

I donīt know how many members they have there, letīs assume 200.
    200 x 99 EUR = 19800 Euro.
    Not bad.
Who is managing the income ?
Invites to steal the money, if perverted people run the thing.
But if honest people run it, they could trade a dedicated account with the best EAs , making a constant flow
    of income.
This income-stream could be used to pay for all expenses of the forum and to buy the best of the best EAs
out there, educate them and post them inside the restricted area.

The other forum I am talking about is not ok. Admin does not answer e-mails or does not publish postings many times.
    Members are treated like beggars.
Would be good to have a better forum than they have.

For me the task seems to be a "mission impossible", only the last suggestion would work better.
But those who want to get a free or cheap educated EA and sell it, would pay the membership-fee
and then take the posted EAs and sell it anyway.

    Regards

Re: Keep sharing our work for this community only

I agree with all this leeching but our bigger enemy are the main search engines (G00gle, Yah00...etc).

Everytime someone posts a system or EA to be shared only with this community, lo and behold in a few ours everyone else who is looking for this system can access it. I have posted a few systems to share and this soon gets listed on the main search engines. :o

The only way I can think is to code the title for the systems, EA, ebooks...etc (eg. Forex System would become F0rex $ystem), but that could cause double posting and problems in this forum's own search engine. I would love to hear your suggestions.
