    the federal reserve buys and sells to to primary banks and they actually post this information on there website.My question is how and when does it affect the market after the make the information public??

    I agree. most people tend to stay away from that kind of stuff unless you really know what ur doing. Banks are very clever at managing such things.

      Banks also have inside info. They tend to trade ahead of any news release...

        In 10 years of trading on the USA Markets, I never found such reliable incidator for Fed. Other than, instinct.

          All Reuters subscribers receive a headstart when it comes to big news. They get the info seconds before the "Consumer" market receives it, quickly place their orders, which is why the high volatility before you get to read the news.

          Most banks use Reuters.

            I find it best to stay out during news releases as the market becomes volatile. I mainly follow Tech Analysis and hence follow what the big guys are doing

                All is fair in forex.

                If you subscribe to Reuters, you'll get all the data about 1 to 2 minutes earlier then everybody else.
