        Ikon Daily Markets Analysis (04-12-2012)

        Economic Development:

        • Asian shares slipped on Tuesday after a plunge in U.S. manufacturing activity hit American stocks and the dollar, while the euro hovered near a six-week high on optimism over Greece's plan to buy back debt.

        • Gold prices softened amid profit-taking in Asian trading on Tuesday, wiping out earlier gains stemming from hopes crisis-weary Greece and Spain may be finding their ways out of the European debt crisis.
