in demo it does very good trades, but i dont know it does same performance as in demo.

I like Steinitz HAS MTF 3.21...It is good in detecting the trend. Also doesn't enter trade if the spread suddenly change or getting bigger... :mrgreen:

Nice info. If we could keep this thread to accounts traded live and real results maybe it could become a sticky and good first step for everyone interested in forex bots. I will be trading fap turbo live from next week and am happy to post results provided other people contribute with results from their own accounts to keep this interesting.

Other EA's I'm currently interested in are Robominer and Thunder4WD but will not be going live until I have back and forward tested more thoroughly.

I am sorry but I think in real term there is none. People may use them, play with them, explore or study them for a while which is ok but however, I don't think anyone has as a matter of fact achived real consistent success in live trading running them as an isolated set and forget or auto pilot system!! ? Back testing is not live trading; markets change all the time and etc. Some people might have unfortunately lost confidence in themselves previously or may be want to somehow avoid the hard work, study and practice so they may think their trading success will be accomplished if only they could find that special EA that could do the hard work for them with great success! I personally think it is not true and success in trading lies elsewhere; of course just my opinion thus you are welcome to agree or disagree. ;)

I think the best times of fapturbo are now behind us.

Why?

it is specialized on trading the EURGBP pair in the hours between US close and Asian open, and relies on those times being quiet and the market trading in a range, so it can perform a few nice low risk scalps. There are a few other EAs out there which basically exploit exactly the same thing.

issues:

- markets have changed a bit, and have become much more volatile during said hours for some pairs

- brokers are struggling with the amount of customers trading these kind of systems, times of low spread are history, executions are crap (fapturbo guys have put a random delay now into their robot... that stinks!)

- The other pairs traded s are merely a bonus and never produced much of a profit, better forget about them

- The "longterm" mode is just crap.

that list is fine, but is it realistic. #5 = trend stuffer. which i couldnt get profitable either forward or backtesting.

While I don't have money (yet!) to buy and distribute EA's here...I want to contribute as much as possible. I have backtested most of the EA's on here on several brokers and still the only ones that have passed my tests are fap turbo (I run this on EURCHF only), Megadroid, and Robominer.

I run live at Alpari UK, I have one account there and plan to split my account when it doubles and run the second account at slightly higher risk.

If I come across any more EA's that pass my tests (RR and strike rate that makes mathematical sense after spread, positive every year from 2001 to present) I will post here after testing live.
