  • [help] playing DVD with Ubuntu

    Hi there,

I'm trying Ubuntu 8.10. Got the CD from ubuntu website.

However, I can't play any mp3, dvd, vcd, etc.

I can't download via linux as I don't have internet connection on that PC.

I've been searching via Google like crazy only to be able to fix the mp3. So I still can't play any VCD or DVD.

Any help? Where should I download the stuff?

    Regards,

      William,

I find "GOM Media Player" very useful. It's quite versatile

Their Website "http://www.gomlab.com/eng/" states as below -

      GOM software
Free, Simple, Light, It just plays!
      GOM Media Player, GOM Encoder

Yes, i've read it before somewhere else. However, since I don't have internet on linux, I have to download from the repository one file at a time. Very unhuman

        Thanks anyway.
