I have the system on my chart and it is making many pips but I do not know how the system generates the trades. I would upload a chart but do not know how to do that. Any advice appreciated Found the indicator elsewhere. Apparently it optimizes the MA. Above yellow long. Below aqua short I believe... Diesel 10 Posted November 21, 2010 Report Share Posted November 21, 2010 I don't like this "system" one bit and I'll tell you exactly why! It's bogus in my mind for the reason that it shows optimized in the PAST how much you could have made on the best possible moving average... It was saying 96 period moving average and I watched as the price went through both the bottom and top MAs so the trend changed. Then the next day, I started the program and on the exact same chart with the same time frame it had a new optimized longer "best" moving average instead of the one showed the night before and with this longer moving average the trend hadn't changed ! If I had taken the trend change when the first moving average said to, I'd be potentially screwed. It seems to me this is a very very sneaky way to "repaint" the results to appear impressive and IMO totally unreliable for trading purposes... I deleted this chart and will never look at this again. shumway Posted November 21, 2010 Report Share Posted November 21, 2010 i've turned off optimisation because it's stupid and recalculates every now and then as it finds better entries.If You get rid of all the whistles and bells it's a good ol' long/short if price crosses MA system.
